Skipton's Duel In The Sun

TurnWebCam

The Skipton boys are playing Turnberry today.

This picture is from the web cam and conditions look perfect for low scoring - a light breeze and sunshine.

The grandstands have been put up for the Open so lets hope the boys pull a big crowd in on the first tee.

They set out after lunch, having had a lesson with Micheal Campbell in the morning.

So check the web cam this afternoon to see if you can spot a group wearing 4 red Jack polos on the birdie express train!

Skipton Take On Turnberry

Skipton2rs

We have just embroidered some Jack Lava polos for Skipton Building Society to wear at Turnberry for the Unisys R&A golf day on the 25th June.

The Skipton team will be having a lesson with a top tour pro in the morning and they then take on the Ailsa Course in the afternoon. Sounds like a great day!

We have asked for some pictures and it will be good to talk to the boys afterwards to see how the course is playing 3 weeks before it hosts The Open - 16th-19th July.

CGA Golf Day

I have recently come back from two cracking days of links golf at Tevose Golf Club in Cornwall.

The event was the CGA company golf day. dressed to a tee provided the golf shirts with the CGA logo embroidered onto our Jack Shirt. The shirts went down a storm as the guys set about trying to tame the Cornish links.

The course was designed by the legendary Harry Colt who conjured up this masterpiece in the 1920s. There are many great holes but it is the par-5 4th, curving past sand hills before running down to a rolling green above the pounding breakers that steals the show. If you make 5 here let us know!

Fittingly the Brabazon was held here in May this year. The Brabazon is the English Men’s Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship - the creme de la creme of amateur golf.
.
Playing Golf in the summer will set you back £60 for a day rate. So for the more energetic golfers amongst us this represents good value. You can also get some excellent winter rates.

If you want your business logo embroidered on to dressed to a tee polos for your company golf day please get in touch - 01926 740 934.

Knight Frank Golf Day

Dressedtoateeb

Last Friday, Knight Frank had their annual golf day at Silvermere Golf course.

Gareth, Frank and John were wearing their new dressed to a tee golf shirts for the big occasion - hoping that their form would match their outfits, and help them win the trophy!

Despite some lovely swings from the lads they didn't come home with the silverware, but gave a very credible performance coming 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.

The winner was decided by a count back, and was Edwin. A 28 handicapper who collected the trophy and also a 13 shot handicap reduction for next year!!

It has to be said that Frank lost the count back after 3 putting from 15 feet on the 18th green - maybe a longer session needed on the practice putting green next time!?

Anyway thanks for the photos and many congratulations to Edwin!

Long John

Longjohn

Recently, we donated one of our Driving t-shirts to the Honeypot Charity Golf Tournament in Provence as a prize for the longest drive competition.

And now we have our winner...John Wright!

On the 18th hole Long John took out the driver and went big with a 278 yarder. Our sources tell us that he was using a Callaway ball which makes me think he could have gone 300+ with a dressed to a tee 'Boom Boom' special!

Anyway many congratulations to John who looks great in his new t-shirt.  And well done to Honeypot who raised £95,000 for their great cause. You can find out more about the work they do for severely disadvantaged young children in Britain here.
